Our Founder
Patrick Blair lives in Valrico, FL. He is a Structural Engineer with over 20 years of experience in structural design, threshold inspections, forensic inspections, and construction project management. Mr. Blair received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a capstone in structural engineering. He has extensive experience designing residential and commercial structures and managing large projects, including construction, estimating, permitting, and environmental impacts.
Mr. Blair has inspected over a thousand buildings, from residential homes, multi-family dwellings, and commercial structures, to asses reported damage from wind, water, and man-created stresses. His location in the Tampa Bay area led to approximately one thousand inspections along the West Coast of Florida to assess damage after Hurricanes Irma, Ian, Helene, and Milton.

Milestone Inspections
Florida Requires Milestone Inspections for Older Buildings. Condominiums and cooperatives three stories or taller must undergo mandatory structural assessments, known as milestone inspections. Buildings 30 years old (25 near the coast) trigger the first inspection, with subsequent checks every decade. Licensed professionals conduct these reviews, aimed at identifying structural deterioration and ensuring safety, a direct response to the Surfside collapse.
